ADC has introduced the TrueNet CopperTen Patch Panel for 10-gigabit Ethernet transmission, which the company says is designed to counter the negative effects of alien crosstalk. Its the new patch panel is the latest addition to ADC’s Augmented Category 6 family of products.

Typical UTP Category 6 cabling systems are hindered by the technical combination of insertion loss and alien crosstalk (interference from adjacent cables) at higher frequencies.

All CopperTen products are guaranteed to have a minimum data-carrying capacity of 18-gigabits per second and support the TIA 568 B.2 Addendum 10 draft standard requirements for 10-gigabit Ethernet cabling systems.

The new panels accommodate up to 24 jacks per one rack unit.
