Craig Wireless British Columbia Inc. is commencing construction of a new 802.16e Wi-Max-enabled 4G network in Vancouver.

The company said in a statement it will offer both consumer and business users the ability to access the Internet wirelessly from any place within the coverage area at broadband speeds, and at prices competitive to those of incumbent Internet service providers.

The company has selected Motorola Inc. as its equipment vendor for the network build-out. Motorola will also provide supporting services for network design, planning, installation and optimization for end-to-end integration of the network, which will operate in the 2.5GHz spectrum band.
