Corning Cable Systems LLC, part of Corning Inc.’s Telecommunications segment, has made a donation of US$30,000 to charity: water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. The donation is an extension of gratitude to Corning Cable Systems’ customers during this holiday season, the company says..

The donation, 100% of which goes to charity: water’s water projects, will build two wells supporting a community of 250 on average, as well as providing a clean water system of a well and latrines for a school serving up to 1,000 students.

charity: water partners with organizations on the ground to implement clean water solutions and provide maintenance and hygiene training to communities.
