MTS Allstream Inc. announced today it has been selected by Consolidated Fastfrate Inc. to implement a Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network at its terminals and warehouses across Canada.

Consolidated Fastfrate is one of Canada’s largest privately owned transportation and logistics companies.

Under the three-year contract, MTS Allstream will work with the company to deploy an MPLS network that allows for higher access speeds and enables the prioritization of data traffic

“Our vision at Fastfrate is to provide customers with complete shipment solutions and we understand the important role that new technologies play inhelping us do that,” said Ron Tepper, the firm’s president and CEO.

Implementation is currently underway and is expected to be completed by June 2006.
