Structured cabling manufacturer comCables will release a new line of patch cables at the upcoming 2011 BICSI Fall Conference in Las Vegas.

“With the onslaught of counterfeit patch cable issues leading to system failures, comCables is ensuring 100% of our patch cords perform at TIA standards levels, 100% of the time.” said Andy Work, the firm’s director of product management at comCables.

The patch cables are the first product to be unveiled in the new Ultimate product line.

The company will also introduce its new, “invitation-only” Certified Installer Training and Partner Program at the conference.

It worked with BICSI master instructors to develo a two-day training program that covers telecommunications Standards 568, 569, 606, 607 and 758 and NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 780 (Lightening Protection). The training will teach proper techniques for planning, placing, terminating and testing, and will provide 13 CEC BICSI credits, the company said in a release.
