BICSI welcomed more than 800 delegates yesterday to the Hilton Montréal Bonaventure hotel for the opening session of the organization’s Canadian Conference & Exhibition.

During his opening remarks, BICSI president Brian Hansen announced the release of Corporate Edition Publications, a networkable edition of BICSI’s manuals that uses a concurrent user licensing model as an alternative to individual licensing.

Corporate Editions allow sharing or floating of licenses with greater flexibility and cost efficiency.

The audience also heard from opening keynote speaker Joe Madigin of Bell Canada. He   spoke about the planning and implementation of the massive cabling systems for the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Vancouver.

Coverage of his presentation will appear in the May/June 2010 issue of CNS.
