Berk-Tek, a Nexans Company, is now shipping a new indoor/outdoor fiber optic drop cable for security and FTTx including MDU/MTU, applications.

The Adventum ATx — ATR (Riser Rated) or ATP (Plenum Rated) cables — are available in one or two tight-buffered fibers in a loose tube cable design. Each incorporates DryGel technology, which the company says is the “industrys first all-dry water-blocking system.

“This cable performs well in wide temperature and environmental conditions — as an outside plant or indoors through risers or plenum areas,” it said. “No transition points are required.”
