With only two days until the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 Winter Games, Bell Canada says it is ready to deliver the first-all IP Games in history.

As a Premier National Partner and Exclusive Telecommunications Partner to the 2010 Winter Games, Bell is providing the critical communications services required to stage Canada’s Games.

This includes a dedicated Olympic fiber network, wireless voice and data services, broadcast support, and Internet portal services.

IDC released a report recently that examines the implementation and delivery by Bell of the end-to-end communications network and managed services for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

“The resulting network architecture, while very similar to next-generation converged networks being deployed by large national and multinational enterprises around the world, goes further because it has been built from scratch,” the research firm noted.
