Bell Canada and Samsung Electronics Canada today announced the “first global availability” of Samsung KNOX, a security offering that the two companies say ensures enterprise customers have security and protection when employees use their own mobile devices at work or use their work devices as part of their everyday life.

Samsung KNOX provides security from the hardware through to the application layer featuring Security Enhancements for Android, Trusted Secure Boot and TrustZone-based Kernel Integrity Measurement. It separates business and personal data, allowing enterprises to manage corporate data independently from personal user information.

Samsung Knox also includes a suite of enterprise applications including e-mail, file sharing, CRM, browser, contacts and collaboration and is compatible with existing common enterprise infrastructure such as MDM (Mobile Device Management), VPN and directory services.
