Bell hasannounced that the second wave in the deployment of its 4G wireless broadband digital network in the Escoumins and Bergeronnes sectors of the Haute-Côte-Nord RCM, first announced in April 2010, will begin operations this week.

The project was launched by the AIDE-TIC (Agence interrégionale de développement des technologies de l’information et des communications), an organization created by the Fjord and Haute-Côte-Nord CFDCs (community futures development corporations). Execution of the project is taking place in collaboration with Bell Mobility.

Two new towers will provide cellular telephone and high-speed Internet access in these municipalities and on a long stretch of Route 138.
