Avaya Inc. today announced that White Radio Ltd. of Burlington, Ont. has been chosen as the first Canadian distributor of its IP Office offering.

IP Office is an “all-in-one” converged voice and data system for small and mid-sized businesses that can help a company’s workforce become more mobile and more productive through an array of communications applications including voice mail, contact centre and Internet access, and more.

“The agreement with White Radio will help accelerate product availability and help drive the benefits of IP telephony, including increasing efficiency and cost savings, to small and medium-sized business across the country,” said John Williams, sales director, Avaya Small and Medium Sized Business Solutions. “

Avaya IP office eliminates the need for companies to maintain separate voice and data networks and is ideal for businesses with two to 256 end-users. Tools such as contact center and messaging applications can help staff to manage calls and messages more efficiently, Avaya says.

It also provides a set of voice features and data handling capabilities, delivering Internet access; full voice and data remote working/ access; integrated hub, router, and firewall; and data networking. It offers call distribution; alternate call routing for low cost and highest voice quality; and T1/E1/PRI/ analog connectivity in addition to IP connectivity.
