Anue Systems Inc. today announced availability of the HSPD192, a network emulator that handles 9.953 Gbps SONET OC-192 and SDH STM-64 data rates with the ability to impair and delay each individual channel, or path independently.

Network emulators are used to validate converged Ethernet and SONET/SDH carrier grade network services, network equipment and applications in a lab test environment.

Next generation Ethernet over SONET aggregation solutions using virtual concatenation (VC), link capacity adjustment scheme (LCAS) and generic framing procedure (GFP) require robust testing of the effects of dynamic path level delays, bit errors, and other network faults.

The HSPD192 allows this type of testing before new network equipment and new network services are deployed.
