Anixter Inc. has released the 2006 Security Infrastructure Resource Guide, a document created with the security installer and integrator in mind.
The 52-page guide includes six sections and focuses on educating security installers and integrators on the importance of installing the correct infrastructure whether the customer is requesting a security solution that requires traditional analog, hybrid or full-blown digital/IP.
According to the company, there are currently no existing cabling standards/guidelines for the installation of traditional, coax-based security systems.
The guide also introduces new concepts and best practices, complete with diagrams, for designing traditional coax-based, hybrid and digital/IP security solutions.
“In order to effectively service today’s security customers, security installers/integrators need to be aware of the proper infrastructure requirements for analog, hybrid and digital/IP systems,” the company said in a release.
