Allstream Inc. announced today it has signed a three-year contract with Great-West Life.

As part of the agreement, the company will provide a Business Internet Protocol (IP) service that contains a fully managed Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network and will connect Great-West Life’s offices and data centres in Canada, the UK and Ireland.

It will carry both data and voice traffic (VoIP) and replace the existing network used by Great-West Life and its subsidiaries, London Life and Canada Life.

“(Our) relationship with Great-West Life spans over 10 years and we are pleased to continue our strategic partnership by meeting their business needs," said John MacDonald, president of Allstream.
