Verizon Wireless has signed a four-year wireless network architecture and services agreement with Alcatel-Lucent expected to be worth US$4 billion. The equipment will be used in Verizon’s ongoing 3G network expansion and 4G/LTE network build out.

 

Under the agreement, Alcatel-Lucent will provide CDMA and LTE radio network,  IP, optical and microwave backhaul and transport equipment as well as professional and network integration services.
