Agile Frameworks, LLC, a provider of management and IT consulting, software as a service (SaaS) and managed services for the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) marketplace, has expanded into the Android and iPhone smartphone space.

The firm’s MetaField mobile application for field data collection, which has supported the BlackBerry platform since last year, will now be available on Android and Apple units.

MetaField, a field information management system, is designed for engineering firms and their field technicians specializing in geotechnical, environmental, non-destructive engineering and construction materials testing to perform onsite data collection.

Soil density and concrete field testing represent examples of tests that are supported by MetaField.

Its mobile functionality addresses the remote-nature of the business and the entire field data collection process in a more accurate, accelerated way via smart phones, the company says.
