Agilent Technologies Inc. will begin shipping two new network analyzers in February, which the company says will reduce network downtime, repair time and operating costs.
Priced at $12,355, the Distributed Network Analyzer ME is a standalone LAN troubleshooting tool that can support two half-duplex or one full duplex 10/100 Ethernet interfaces.
The Analyzer MX model, which can be accessed with a modem, supports all Network Analyzer line interface modules for LAN, WAN and ATM using one interface slot for the data acquisition systems. Priced at $19,800, the modules are hot-swappable and interchangeable.
"Network operators need to drastically reduce network operating expenses to remain competitive," said Steve Witt, vice-president and general manager of Agilent’s Network Systems test division. "This product family enables customers to troubleshoot remotely, thereby reducing the need to send highly-skilled technicians to the site."
