ABI Research today announced a new research service focused on worldwide Home Networking technology markets.

The service, led by home networking research veteran Michael Wolf, provides clients with in-depth analysis of strategic issues facing key players ranging from broadband service providers to media companies to device manufacturers and semiconductor companies.

“The digital home marketplace is fast becoming the newest battleground for consumer technology dominance,” said Wolf.

“Companies in the digital entertainment, PC, consumer electronics and broadband markets are realizing that pervasive connectivity and the move to digital distribution of entertainment are the cornerstones for new business models focused on conquering the digital living room.”

The Home Networking Research Service includes ongoing strategic analysis of key technology trends and market drivers, backed up by granular forecasts of market growth in critical segments.

Service clients also have access to an industry database giving them the ability to examine devices by feature set, connectivity, media networking and codec protocols, as well as by the operating systems and silicon these devices employ.
